Pajama Day

Wear your pajamas to school Friday, December 9th in support of
Connecticut Children’s Medical Center! Friday, December 9, the students and staff of Natchaug School are invited to wear their PJ’s to school in honor of children at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Each year thousands of children each year spend days, weeks or longer in PJ’s while receiving care at the medical center. By joining together with students in schools throughout Connecticut and local businesses you will help us show our support for these children and their families. Please help raise money to benefit kids at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center by making an optional donation of $1 or more. Donations will be collected at school on Friday, December 9th. You can also find more information or donate online at www.pjday.kintera.org.
The event was started in 2011 by a 7 year old who’s sister battled cancer at Connecticut Children’s. Each year, more schools and business have joined in, and to date, we have raised over $84,000 for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center! It has been a lot of fun and a great way to join together to help children in our community. Appropriate attire for school/ weather. No slippers for safety please. All proceeds to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center’s Division of Hematology and Oncology.

PTO Meeting

Hello Natchuag families. We will be having our first PTO meeting of the year this Thursday, September 8th at 6:00pm in the cafeteria. Childcare will be provided. This is a great way to have parents involved in the school. We welcome all parents or guardians to attend a monthly meeting during the school year. At Natchaug it is the PTO goal to work closely with the teachers and staff as a method of furthering collaboration between home and school.
